OUR SALON
Our focus when we designed Olivine was for every person to feel welcome in our space and that the beauty of the space was felt by clients and stylists alike. From the moment you walk in the doors, you will notice all the extra design elements - the lines, curves, lighting and textures. Every day we hear "it's so beautiful in here!" We feel so fortunate to be able to share our space with you.

MEET OUR STYLISTS

Kayla has been in the industry for 10yrs. She is a Sassoon-trained stylist and has honed her craft all over the world - in Los Angeles, London and here in Alberta - the most notable being with the Sassoon Academy and Butterfly Loft Salon. In addition to her training as a hairstylist, she is also a graduate of Blanche Macdonald Centre in Vancouver where she completed her training in makeup artistry- in everything from everyday looks to special effects makeup.
She has done hair and makeup for many special events and even a few commercials and hopes to do more entertainment industry-related hair and makeup in the future. In her words, “Precision cutting is what I live for. It brings me such satisfaction to see a cut come together and have the hair fall perfectly. It’s all in the details”
In her spare time, Kayla enjoys spending time with her son and seeing the world through his eyes. She also enjoys music, theatre, singing and spending time outside with her family. Especially if it’s on the beach.

Creative, versatile and passionate about her craft, Sabrina has been able to establish herself as a successful hair stylist/esthetician with over 18 years experience. Starting her career in Northern Alberta where she owned and operated a salon/spa for almost 10 years. Her life took a turn toward starting a family and moving to Lethbridge, but her desire to continue her craft did not cease. Sabrina has a nonstop work ethic and continuous passion for learning. Being Sassoon and Aveda trained, her value for higher education has been a key to her success.
Sabrina prides herself with the ability to connect and build relationships with everyone she meets. Making her guests feel beautiful not only on the outside but also within has allowed her to develop and maintain loyalty with her clientele.
If Sabrina is not with her guests then you will probably see her on the sidelines of an arena, or gymnasium cheering on her 2 wonderful kids or spending quality time with her amazing husband.

The love and passion Jessica has for the beauty industry blossomed in her adolescent years, where she could be found cutting and colouring her own and friends’ hair in her bedroom during sleepovers.
Her stylist career began in 2010, working in the Vancouver, BC area. Since then, she has also worked in Child and Youth care, attended post secondary education, taken ongoing education and training in hairstyling, and started a family.
Jessica enjoys working in a salon setting in any capacity- whether behind the chair, at the front end or assisting other stylists. “I love the salon atmosphere. I love working collaboratively with my team and my guests, creating an experience that connects us on a human level. I love that the salon experience provides holistic uplifting - mind, body and soul.”
Jessica has a sweet spot for “lived in” colour and cutting: working with the hair in its natural state and elevating it. Think that effortless, low maintenance, maybe-they’re-born-with-it look.

Hello! My name is Gracie and I am pursuing my career as a hairstylist by working to achieve my Red Seal license. I absolutely love colouring hair, specializing in all blonding and balayage. I love taking the the time to listen and focus on each guests visions while maintaining the integrity of their hair.
When I’m not in the salon I fill my spare time with travelling, baking and cooking, spending time with my family and friends, and adding to my vast collection of plants. I am always open to learning new techniques and furthering my education to become a stronger stylist. I welcome everyone to my chair and can’t wait to meet everyone!

Ashley is thrilled to join the Olivine team as Front End Manager. She brings years of customer service experience and is excited to see growth in this new role.
Many know her from working at a local restaurant and then her many years tending the front desk with chiropractic care. Her role at Olivine is a wonderful blend of both worlds - caring for people and welcoming them into the space.
Outside of her work Ashley enjoys being creative in the kitchen, wishes all the clothes in her closet were black, and would love to take a beach vacation every winter.

Madison is a hair stylist, U of L graduate, mom of two, and most recently, a salon co-owner.
“I love being a hairstylist because I get to connect with so many great people. My guests - and I know Aubrey says the same about her guests- have been an important part of our journey. They’ve taken time out of what is supposed to be their moment of self-care to ask about Salon Olivine and have enthusiastically cheered us on. Creating a space aligned with our team’s shared values and vision for the industry has been fulfilling for me; in our complicated and at times overwhelming world, I find stability and purpose in being part of this space. I’m motivated to support people - our guests and stylists - as they pursue their unique visions of success. I hope the way our team provides experiences and does hair contributes to our guests’ renewed confidence and excitement for whatever is next on the horizon for them. I hope the members of our team are empowered to achieve all their career goals feeling thoroughly equipped and well-supported.”

Aubrey Boehr has been in the creative space of hair for just about 15 years. Cutting people’s hair around the world, teaching to students, and standing countless hours behind the chair is a shortlist of where this career has taken her.
Aubrey’s training stems from Vidal Sassoon, Aveda and a sprinkling of others. She continues to seek out any opportunity to learn more. “I love doing hair. How it makes people feel better. I love the pause. When someone comes and sits in my chair and can relax. I love the connection. Hearing people’s stories, take on life and how their day has been.”
